“Gasland” Nominated For Academy Award
“Gasland” was a winner at last year’s Sundance Film Festival and now has been nominated for an Academy Award. How Cuba Survived Peak Oil
In 1990, when the Soviet Union collapsed, their shipments of oil to Cuba abruptly ended, and Cuba faced a “peak oil” situation similar to what we will soon face. “The Power of Community,” a documentary about how the Cuban people and the Castro government coped was shown last night at a Transition Town meeting in Philadelphia.
